The opening sequence was designed to establish context before the product enters the frame. Built around video footage and the idea of choice in the modern world, it creates a bridge between the viewer’s everyday reality and the manufacturing environment, making the machine feel like part of a larger story rather than an isolated object.
The HP Indigo 6K+ contains thousands of individual components, which made this one of the more technically demanding projects we have worked on. Every part had to be modeled, textured, and animated with enough accuracy to hold up in close-up shots. At this scale, there is no room for approximation: materials, surface behavior, and mechanical motion all need to look like the real thing.
The brief asked for two things at once: a connection to the real world, and a focused look at what makes this press different from a standard digital machine. Each scene was built to serve both goals, moving between the broader narrative and the specific features that set the 6K+ apart.
