When Kornit Digital approached us, we built a high-end 3D cloth simulation to showcase their smart digital printing technology on polyester fabric. We modeled and animated a sports shirt – chosen by the client – wearing it on a virtual athlete in motion, demonstrating how the ink behaves on fabric with precise texture, elasticity, and realistic movement. Digital printing on polyester is a technology that speaks through results – the way ink sits on fabric, stretches with movement, and holds its colour under pressure. The challenge was to demonstrate these qualities in a way that no standard product photo or live video could capture – showing the fabric in motion, under tension, and in full detail, from any angle.
We built the simulation around a sports shirt in motion – animating a virtual athlete performing dynamic movements that put the fabric under real strain. The cloth simulation captured how the material stretches, wrinkles, and recovers, while the printed design remained crisp and vivid throughout. Every frame was crafted to show what the technology does best: delivering print quality that holds, moves, and looks exactly right.
The finished animation gives Kornit Digital a compelling visual asset that communicates the performance of their digital printing technology in a way no static image can match. Deployed at trade shows, product launches, and digital channels worldwide, it puts the technology’s most important quality front and center: the print that stays perfect, no matter how the fabric moves.
